The Results of a Double-Blind Placebo-Controlled Study:
This double-blind placebo-controlled study evaluating the effectiveness of topically applied Natural Relief 1222 demonstrated clinically significant relief on pain and limitation of motion in patients with rheumatoid and or osteoarthritis. Relief was most apparent in patients with the lower motion in comparison to mild patients with the lower symptom scores. Other parameters showed trends of clinical improvement, although they were not clinically significant statistically. Topical use of medication was associated with absence of systemic side effects in the study in contrast to what may have occurred with systemic medications, such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. The type of benefit obtained is similar to that obtained with systemic medications and broader than that to be expected from counter-irritants and P-blockers, such as Capsaicin. |
